Here's the thing, in late Fall and well into Winter, the spotted bass of Shasta Lake go and school up looking for small threadfin shad minnows, and a mini Rat-L-Trap is deadly on those Bass, so if you have a lake in your area that has shad minnows and your bass or trout are schooling, try that lure, all silver if you can find one.
